African Art Labels wanted
Dear friends of David,
The Yale/GvR archive is doing an extensive research on labels and written names or numbers (or a combination of these) that are connected to African
objects. We would very much receive photos of these (preference is 300 dpi), we are creating a data-base with this info.
The info will/can not be opened for public access, simply because more and more 'fake provenances' are known to us, and we would certainly not like to be ones to 'instruct fakers' how to do it. Scholars and serious collectors or dealers know how to reach us.
Please e-mail to: guy.van@telenet.be
We thank you all that will do the effort of making photos, help with data or any other info.
Guy van Rijn and team
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Change of email address: guy.vanrijn@telenet.be
