Some tips for those searching african art in Munich Germany

To prove to those who are not members of the discussion group what they are
missing I do a little resume about African Art in Munich, Germany, and add the
information's I found.
A recent African
Antiques discussion on Yahoo brought up by John Nash was quite interesting,
he is visiting Munich soon and wanted some African
Art travel tips .He was wondering whether anyone had any
suggestions for shops or museums to visit, relating of course to
African arts.

Alex also mentionned the Munich
Stadtmuseum St.-Jakobs-Platz 1 - 80331 München Tel: 089-233 22370 and it's
African music instruments collection.
Alexander Soifer mentionned some galleries (that he did not find interesting)
and ( about non-African art) Lembach house amazing collection of Kandinski and
other expressionnists, but I did not find an official site or address.
Alte Pinakotek that Alex gave some information's about: Galerie Hänseler (Sp?)
on Galeriestrasse, along the north edge of the Hofgarten,
and Von Miller .
Alex (not Alexander) also mentionned that hermann
historica Munich specialized in weapons on Saturday sold a Fang
Statue for 520,000€ and that Neumeister
will have a sale that includes African Art on 13 November 2008 (Afrikanischer
und Außereuropäischer Kunst
