Dear friends and African art collectors,
We are pleased to invite you to Brussels
Belgium for our yearly Brussels event.
David Norden will present a selection of ancient African art.
Our recent acquisitions include a superb Ijaw
water spirit mask from the Egon Guenther collection previously sold at
Sotheby's, a fine Bena Lulua coming from a friend of Timmermans who was at the
same time as him in a small village around Luluabourg in the early 1970's, a
collection of small miniatures coming from the Josef Herman collection, a Baule
statue ex-Paul Rabut, a spectacular Luba
Lutchasi rare Kasai mask from the Jay Leff collection that was
published in 1969 for an exhibition in the famous Carnegie Institute Museum of
Art, a Makonde mask from the Sturman collection , a Lwalwa mask (ex-Hallet), a
Makonde statue, an impressive big Yaka power figure, a XIXth century Kasangu
Mask from the Salampasu people, and much much more ..
During the Brussel events, David Norden will exhibit at rue
Sainte Anne 32 (Sablon),
The opening will take place on Wednesday June 9th, 2010 from 3:05 to 9:05 pm.

Masks and statues coming from David Norden's collection, an Antwerp dealer expert in African Art.
You can see his exhibition of ritual African masks and statues coming from known collections and museums. They will be on show the second week of June near the Sablon in Brussels.
Masks: Pende, Lega, Dogon, Igbo, Ijaw, Makonde, Kuba, Luba ... .
Statues: Makonde, Mambila, Chamba, Mumuye, Tiv, Yaka,... & Bena Lulua statues coming from various collections and some of them even de-accessionised from US and European Museums will astonish you 32 rue Sainte Anne.
We will be pleased to meet you during the Brussel
